Full Job Description
Provide high-quality support to children with SEND, including 1:1 and small group intervention
Implement individual support plans in line with the SEND Code of Practice
Support children's communication, language development, social interaction, emotional regulation, and independence skill
Maintain accurate, timely, and professional records, including observations, progress notes, and reports for external agencies
Liaise effectively with parents/carers, SENCOs, and external professionals, including health and education specialists
Support multi-agency working and attend meetings where required
Promote safeguarding, welfare, and well-being of all children in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education and setting safeguarding policies
Contribute to maintaining a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment
This role requires a strong understanding of early childhood development and SEND practice, with the ability to support children's individual learning, development, and welfare needs effectively., The successful candidate will demonstrate:
Proven experience working with children with SEND, ideally within an early years or educational setting
Secure understanding of the EYFS framework and inclusive practice
Knowledge of a range of additional needs and appropriate intervention strategies
Ability to implement structured support plans under SENCO direction
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including professional record keeping
Ability to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team
Experience with Education, Health and Care Plan applications and reviews
A reflective, caring, and child-centred approach
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
