Full Job Description
Rainbow Preschool is seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Manager to join the team at our Outstanding preschool, providing children with everyday adventures and experiences that they will remember for a lifetime. The Preschool Manager will inspire and lead the Preschool staff to provide safe, high-quality education and care for every child, working in partnership with the Committee of Trustees to deliver the Preschool's vision. The Preschool has been run by a dedicated team of staff for thirty-six years and has a strong family feel; the children really are at the centre of everything we do., Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
Create a warm, welcoming, and secure family-friendly learning environment for pre-school children.
Provide safe, high-quality education and care for early years children.
Ensure that the Preschool meets all statutory requirements.
Strive to maintain the setting's Outstanding Ofsted rating.
Actively commit to facilitating continued professional development for all staff.
Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding children's progress and well-being.
Act as the setting's Designated Safeguarding Lead.
The ideal candidate will have several years' experience working with young children, will hold at least a Level 3 (or above) Early Childhood Education qualification, and will show commitment to obtaining a Level 5 qualification if not already held. They will possess excellent communication skills and strong leadership abilities, capable of driving improvement and modernisation across the setting, whilst maintaining the caring, family feel which is at the heart of Rainbows. We are able to consider candidates for both full and part-time, permanent positions, for a minimum of 20 hours per week., Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Childhood Education (or equivalent)
At least 2 years' experience working at a management/supervisory level in an early years care setting (or equivalent)
Excellent English language skills, both written and verbal
An excellent understanding of child development and of children's needs
The ability to plan and implement a preschool curriculum, taking into account the SEN Code of Practice, child protection procedures and equal opportunities.
The ability to successfully lead and manage a team, with effective regulatory compliance, quality improvement, delivery of high-quality pedagogy, innovation, and service excellence.
Strong skills of organisation, attention to detail and the ability to effectively prioritise workload
A commitment to continuously promoting a culture of Safeguarding
