Early Years Practitioner

This is a term-time role for 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm, which equates to 0.85FTE. The successful candidate will support high-quality provision for our first nursery cohort. You'll work closely with the Early Years Lead and our Reception team to:

• Foster curiosity, creativity and care in a safe, nurturing environment
• Provide play-based learning tailored to the needs and interests of 3-4 year olds
• Support speech, language and early communication through thoughtful adult interaction
• Embed routines that support independence and confidence
• Be a key adult for children in their crucial early years of development
  
  Has experience working with nursery-aged children and understands the EYFS framework
• Is passionate about early development and school readiness
• Builds strong, trusting relationships with young children and their families
• Brings positivity, flexibility, and initiative to a team environment
• Values inclusion and celebrates the diversity of our community
  
  Following our recent Ofsted inspection, where St Martin's was judged to be meeting the expected standard across all areas, we are looking for enthusiastic and committed individuals to join our dedicated Nursery team.
37.5 hours per week | 8am-4pm | Term Time Only | Start: 4th January 2027 St. Martin's CE Primary Academy was proud to open its brand new nursery provision for 3 and 4 year-olds in September 2025 and we're looking for a warm, skilled Early Years Practitioner to help us grow and offer increased capacity to the local community. It is our hope that we will be able to open our Nursery to 2 year old's this academic year. Our school, part of the Diocese of Salisbury Academy Trust, has recently undergone rapid improvement and is thriving under a dynamic new leadership team.
