Early Years Playworker


Contract: Full time (50 weeks per annum with holiday entitlement, 2 weeks closure at Christmas/NY)


Hours: 37.5 hours per week. Mon-Fri 8am-4pm with 30 min break


Salary: Band B, points 3-5 £24,796-£25,583, dependent on experience and qualifications


Blossomfield Childcare is very much part of Blossomfield Infant School providing out of hours care for children throughout term time and school holidays. We are looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic person to join our Early Years team.


The role includes supervising the children and always ensuring their safety and wellbeing. Promoting learning through play by engaging in conversation with the children and setting up activities and resources which aid their development and enable the children to meet their early learning goals.


The successful candidate will also be responsible for communicating with parents and updating them on their child's learning throughout their sessions using our online parent app and in person at drop off and collection times. They will also work together with other professionals in the setting and from outside agencies to ensure the best quality of care and identify early intervention opportunities.


Candidates must have a minimum of an NVQ Level 2 Childcare Qualification or equivalent.
