Early Years Nursery Practitioner

Shooting Stars Nursery in Hinckley is looking for a caring, enthusiastic and dedicated Early Years Nursery Practitioner to join our Under 2s team. This rewarding role offers the opportunity to support babies and young toddlers during the most important stages of their development. If you are passionate about giving children the very best start in life and enjoy building strong relationships with families, we'd love to hear from you.What You'll Be Doing As a Nursery Practitioner within our Under 2's team, you'll play a key role in supporting children's individual care routines, development and wellbeing through meaningful interactions and responsive care.Your responsibilities will include:

• Acting as a key person for a group of babies and young children
• Building secure attachments and supporting children's emotional wellbeing
• Providing high-quality care, including feeding, changing, sleeping and personal care routines
• Planning and delivering age-appropriate activities that support learning and development
• Observing, assessing and recording children's progress in line with the EYFS
• Creating a safe, stimulating and nurturing environment for babies and toddlers
• Supporting children's communication, physical development and early social skills
• Working closely with parents and carers to ensure continuity of care and learning
• Following nursery policies and procedures relating to safeguarding, health and safety, and child welfare
• Working collaboratively with colleagues to provide exceptional care and education
  
  A full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification (Level 2 applicants may also be considered)
• Experience working with babies or young children in a nursery or early years setting
• A good understanding of child development, particularly for children under 2 years old
• Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
• A sound understanding of safeguarding and child protection responsibilities
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• A warm, patient and nurturing approach
• A genuine passion for supporting children's early learning and development
