Full Job Description

  • Deliver high-quality care and learning opportunities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Framework.
  • Support children's learning, development, and wellbeing through engaging activities and play experiences.
  • Observe, assess, and record children's progress, contributing to learning journals and development plans.
  • Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Ensure the safety, welfare, and safeguarding of all children at all times.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming nursery environment.
  • Work collaboratively as part of the nursery team to provide the highest standards of care and education.

    Level 3 Qualification in Early Years Childcare (full and relevant qualification recognised in England).
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and health and safety procedures.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • A positive, reliable, and professional approach to work.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
    • Desirable
  • Previous experience working in a nursery or early years setting.
  • Good understanding of the EYFS Framework and child development.
  • Valid and up-to-date Pediatric First Aid Certificate.
  • Food Hygiene Certificate.
  • Safeguarding training.
  • Experience with observations, assessments, and planning in line with EYFS.
