Introduction
Working in a childcare setting with children ages 0–5 years,you will be working towards Advanced Diploma Early Years.This requires dedication,commitment & punctuality to be successful.Duties will include,but not be limited to,creating a fun, engaging and safe environment for the children,teaching within the EYFS requirements,etc.

Established in 1983, Tom Thumb nursery is purpose built on one level with outdoor play facilities. There are 3 playrooms and the layout permits constant supervision of all the children. We believe children are individuals. We talk to the children and listen to them, making them feel important and that what they say is interesting. We offer a warm caring and secure environment within which children are able to explore, learn and develop at their own pace. We ensure that the individual needs of the children are met, effectively promoting their physical, social, emotional and intellectual development. We have an experienced and stable staff team, which provides consistency for the children together with good quality day care.What You'll Do
- Partaking in a range of indoor and outdoor activities
- Supporting the children with a range of self-care needs such as feeding and personal hygiene
- Communicating with other team members and parents
- Working in a childcare setting with children ranging from ages 0-5 years
- Also, being able to liaise with external customers, parents, to provide a high level of service for the childcare setting
Training Outcome
Developing into a Level 3 practitioner, with the potential of a full-time position upon successful completion. Other prospects could include applying for:
- Room leader positions
- Possible management training
- Springboard into primary education
- Paediatric nursing
- Continuous development in the current nursery setting
