Job Description

We are recruiting for a caring and enthusiastic Early Years Assistant to join a welcoming Early Years setting, working primarily with children aged 1-2 years. This is a fantastic permanent, term-time only opportunity offering an excellent work-life balance, with a four-day working week from Monday to Thursday and a 4pm finish. The role would suit an Early Years professional who enjoys supporting younger children during an important stage of their learning and development.

You will be:

• Supporting the care, learning and development of children aged 1-2 years
• Helping to create a warm, safe and nurturing environment
• Supporting engaging and age-appropriate activities in line with the EYFS
• Encouraging children's early communication, independence and social development
• Supporting children's individual routines and needs throughout the day
• Building positive and trusting relationships with children and their families
• Supporting observations and monitoring children's progress
• Maintaining high standards of safeguarding, health and safety and professional practice
• Working collaboratively with colleagues to provide consistent, high-quality Early Years provision
• Contributing positively to the day-to-day running of the setting

Candidate Requirements

The successful candidate will have experience or a genuine interest in working within Early Years, particularly with younger children. Level 3 qualified candidates can also be considered. You will be patient, nurturing and reliable, with strong communication and teamwork skills and a genuine passion for supporting children's early development.

Salary and Contract Details

• Salary: £19,360 per annum
• Contract: Permanent, term-time only
• Working days: Monday-Thursday
• Hours: 8:00am-4:00pm
• Age group: Primarily 1-2 years
