Introduction

Kent College Junior School offers an exciting opportunity for an Early Years Apprentice to support quality care and education across nursery and school settings. You will help create a nurturing, engaging environment, support children’s learning and development, and gain valuable hands-on experience working with a range of age groups.

What You'll Do

  • Contribute to the day to day organisation of the nursery in line with EYFS requirements 2025, Safeguarding and Welfare requirements, the Childcare Act 2006 and Health and Safety legislation.
  • Ensure close supervision of children within the setting at all times
  • Maintain and record observations of children’s play, behaviour and developmental progress
  • Support and assist children with learning, development and play activities.
  • Help prepare and maintain a high-quality play and learning environment.
  • Keep confidential all information concerning children, families and staff.
  • Work flexibly across different rooms and age groups as required.
  • Be willing to undertake any other duties appropriate to the role.
