Early Support and Transitions Youth Worker (job ref: 26-57)


Permanent Contract - Based in Exeter


Full time, 37 hours - £28,466.00 per annum.


The role will deliver high-quality youth work interventions that focus on early prevention, supporting young people to remain in, or return to, safe and appropriate accommodation wherever possible. This includes working with families and wider support networks to reduce relationship breakdown and enable sustainable housing pathways. Working across the East Devon area providing timely information, advice and guidance on housing options to young people, families, and partner agencies. Using a trauma informed youth work approach to building relationships with young people and their families and support shared understanding of the realities of becoming homeless.


Knowledge on housing protocols, legislation & housing options would be an advantage, however, training will be given for this specialised post. It's a great opportunity to build a career in this sector.


Please note- The post holder will be expected to drive and have access to a car to be able to travel within the locality and occasionally elsewhere, at times transporting young people in their own vehicle.
