Full Job Description
The current opportunity is available for current Manchester Met students, to apply you must be based in the UK for the duration of the role. Recruitment and Admissions are looking for six Early Clearing & Confirmation Assistants to support the team at a critical point in the year. The recruited students will support with enquiries over the Early Clearing and Confirmation period. This will involve them dealing with phone calls from potential students and offer holders, taking applications, liaising with relevant staff in Course Enquires and Admissions, and providing general admin support to the team. The students will be required to work on campus in our offices based at 6 Great Marlborough Street. IT equipment will be provided. Shortlisted applicants will be required to attend an interview on Tuesday 9 June 2026. Successful applicants will receive (paid) training, which will include details of courses available, entry requirements, confirmation and clearing processes and customer service. Dates: 30 June - 11 September 2026 Hours of Work:
- The role will begin week commencing 29 June, with approximately 24 hours available. This will include training on 30 June and 1 July (10am-2:30/3pm) to support onboarding and system setup, followed by regular working hours on 2 and 3 July. Working hours will be Monday to Friday 9:45-4:15 with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break.
- From week commencing 6 July through to week commencing 3 August, the role will offer 21 hours per week across three days. During the peak period from week commencing 10 August to week commencing 24 August, hours will increase to 35 per week, with additional coverage required for results week, including a commitment to work extra hours on Thursday 13, Friday 14 and Saturday 15 August 2026.

This role is only open to current Level 4 and Level 5 undergraduate Manchester Met Students (during 2025/26 academic year) who have/are: - Good communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Able to work independently.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Good IT skills.
- Comfortable dealing with people on the phone.
- Experience in a customer service environment would be an advantage.
- Previous knowledge of Clearing or working as a clearing ambassador would be an advantage.
