Full Job Description
As ECT History Teacher, you will teach across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering engaging lessons that build pupils' historical knowledge and key disciplinary skills. You will be supported to deliver a well-sequenced curriculum that develops:
- Strong historical knowledge across a range of periods and themes
- Disciplinary thinking: causation, significance, change and continuity
- Source analysis and interpretation through structured practice
- Confident extended writing through modelling and feedback
- GCSE confidence through deliberate practice and clear routines
ECT (or soon-to-qualify) with QTS (or working towards) - Strong subject knowledge in History
- A calm, organised approach and high expectations
- Willingness to learn, reflect and develop through mentoring
- Strong relationships and a positive classroom culture
