EAL Teaching Assistant (part time)

We are currently seeking a part-time EAL (English as an Additional Language) Teaching Assistant to join our Learning Support team.

Position: EAL Teaching Assistant (Part Time)
Location: Bullers Wood School for Girls, UK
Position Type: Learning Support

Role Overview:
As an EAL Teaching Assistant, you will support students whose first language is not English, helping them to access the curriculum and develop their language skills. You will work closely with teachers and other staff members to provide tailored support that meets individual student needs.

Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum qualification: Certificate relevant to teaching or supporting learners (e.g., Level 3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching & Learning or equivalent)
- At least 2 years' experience working with EAL students or in a similar educational support role
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to adapt resources and approaches according to individual learner needs
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail
- Basic understanding of safeguarding procedures within schools
