Job Title: 3rd Line Storage & PKI Support Engineer
Location: Basingstoke (Onsite)
Duration: 6 Months with possible extension
Rate: £400 per day via an approved umbrella company
Clearance: Active DV Clearance required
Are you an experienced Infrastructure Support Engineer with expertise in Storage, Backup and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) technologies? Our client is seeking a 3rd Line Storage & PKI Support Engineer to join a highly secure government programme, supporting critical services within a complex operational environment.
This is an exciting opportunity to work within a specialist team responsible for maintaining and supporting enterprise storage, backup and PKI solutions, ensuring the stability, security and availability of key infrastructure services.
What you'll be doing:
- Providing 3rd Line support and responding to escalations from 2nd Line engineering teams.
- Maintaining and supporting Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) solutions.
- Supporting enterprise storage and backup platforms.
- Monitoring systems using Event Management tooling and responding to incidents.
- Carrying out incident triage, troubleshooting and resolution activities.
- Delivering planned maintenance and changes through established Change Management processes.
- Supporting PKI-related activities across multiple secure sites.
- Conducting readiness assessments for new releases entering service.
- Producing and maintaining operational documentation, work instructions and patching schedules.
- Providing regular updates and technical input to operational leadership teams.
What you'll bring:
- Strong experience supporting enterprise storage and backup technologies such as Dell Avamar and Data Domain.
- Hands-on experience with PKI technologies, including Microsoft PKI and Thales solutions.
- Experience working within ITIL/ITSM environments.
- Windows Server administration experience.
- Experience supporting VMware technologies.
- Strong troubleshooting, incident management and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
