Full Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Duty Worker to join our Westminster Move On and Resettlement Service, which consists of several semi-independent houses and flats in the north of the borough. The staff team provides support to over 70 clients many of whom have complex support needs.

In this role you will work closely with the team to jointly manage the safe day to day running of the service, and you will provide basic support and advice to clients. You will take a lead role on health and safety and help to coordinate repairs and maintenance and other administrative duties while working alongside the team to provide a person-centred support to clients.

You will be joining a dedicated team that provides a safe, welcoming environment where residents can build confidence, maintain their tenancies and access the support they need to achieve positive change. Working closely with colleagues, residents and external partners, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the service.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys organisation, administration and problem-solving. While there will be some resident-facing responsibilities, the role has a strong focus on housing administration, coordinating repairs and helping to keep the service running efficiently.

In this role, you will:

Be the first point of contact for residents, visitors and contractors.

Manage a busy team diary, book appointments and coordinate meetings.

Liaise with contractors, maintenance teams and external agencies to report and follow up repairs and maintenance issues.

Support residents with practical housing-related matters and signpost them to appropriate services when required.

Carry out health and safety checks and report concerns promptly.

We're looking for someone who is highly organised, proactive and able to manage a varied workload.

You will have:

Strong administrative and organisational skills.

The ability to build positive working relationships with residents, colleagues, contractors and external agencies.

A calm and professional approach when dealing with enquiries or challenging situations.

An interest in supporting vulnerable people and helping them to maintain stable housing., Please note: This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Applicants must have existing and ongoing right to work in the UK for the duration of employment.
