As a Duty Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring every person who walks into our coffee shops feels not only welcome but truly happy. Your leadership will help create an environment where both customers and staff can thrive, making each visit a positive and enjoyable experience. Plus, our irresistible gelato ice cream and delicious waffles are the perfect treats to enjoy alongside your coffee. About the head of front of house Role Our success starts with our team. Each of our cafés is led by two dedicated Duty Managers, who oversee daily operations and ensure everything runs smoothly. As a Duty Manager, you'll be responsible for upholding high standards, ensuring that our processes are followed, and fostering a welcoming atmosphere. Are You Ready to Lead? You'll be a key figure in shaping the culture and ensuring the smooth operation of our cafés. Your leadership will directly impact the customer experience, staff morale, and overall success of the café., Train and guide staff to ensure top performance, maintaining team morale and enthusiasm.
- Customer Experience: Uphold our commitment to delivering excellent customer service, ensuring every guest leaves with a positive, memorable experience.
- Daily Operations Oversight: Handle essential operational tasks such as ordering daily essentials (e.g., milk) to keep service uninterrupted.
- Communication with Shift Leaders: Keep Shift Leaders informed about any updates or changes, ensuring operational efficiency.
- Adherence to Policies: Ensure strict adherence to company policies, especially in hygiene and safety standards, to uphold our brand's reputation. Administrative and Leadership Duties:
- Financial Integrity: Manage banking tasks to ensure accuracy and accountability.
- Performance Reviews: Conduct 7/14/30-day staff reviews, providing detailed feedback to support development.
- Training & Development: Organize on-the-floor training sessions to improve staff skills, including gelato training.
- Team Coordination: Lead monthly team meetings and weekly coordination sessions to align goals, set expectations, and promote cohesion.
- Hygiene & Cleanliness Oversight: Supervise deep cleaning efforts to ensure a clean and welcoming environment.
- Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, manage inventory, and reduce waste to keep operations efficient. Additional Responsibilities: On-Call Leadership: Be available to cover unexpected staff absences, ensuring uninterrupted service. Best Coffee Program: Work closely with Head Baristas to oversee the Best Coffee program, ensuring quality and consistency.
- Team/shift Leader or Management experience 2 years (required)
- Café experience: 3 years (required)
- Customer service: 3 years (required)
- Car driver with clean licence as work required in two different sites, GCSE or equivalent (preferred)
