Driver and Retail Operative

We are looking for a motivated individual to join our team, supporting with driving our van to collect and deliver items of donated furniture and goods for the charity shop as well as assisting in the shop itself., Duties include driving the van to collect and deliver items of furniture, clothes and other items from doners' homes, assisting in the collection, lifting, loading and unloading of goods as required, many of which can be heavy, carrying out safety checks on the vehicle, ensuring it is kept in good working order, planning journeys so that mileage is kept to a minimum the most time effective routes are utilised, and managing/working with volunteers and staff, making sure they are supported during collecting and delivering. Assist with the preparation of furniture for sale and to assist with displaying goods within the shop, serve customers and promote sales in the shop, working with other staff and our team of volunteers. The successful candidate will have:

• Previous experience of driving a van and collecting and delivering furniture
• A full clean driving license
