Driver - Passenger Transport

The Passenger Transport Team is seeking reliable, safety-conscious Drivers to join our busy and valued service. This is a rewarding opportunity to play a vital role in delivering essential transport for children, young people, and vulnerable adults across the borough, helping them access education, care and support safely and comfortably. You will work closely with operational staff and Passenger Assistants to ensure every journey is completed safely, punctually and to a high standard. Your day-to-day duties will include driving assigned routes, carrying out vehicle safety checks, maintaining accurate records, following scheduled timetables and supporting the smooth operation of the service. You will also be responsible for keeping vehicles clean, safe and fully compliant with all relevant regulations. We're looking for someone who is responsible, calm under pressure and committed to delivering excellent customer care. Essential requirements:

• A full, clean driving licence with D or D1 entitlement
• Confidence driving larger vehicles
Full training will be provided where required, including vehicle-specific training, safeguarding, disability awareness and Council procedures. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being on the road, takes pride in providing a high-quality service and wants to make a real difference within the local community.
