Job Description


Be our driving force. As a full-time soldier, entry-level Driver for the British Army, youll:



  • Play an essential role in transporting soldiers and supplies across the world

  • Ensure people, ammunition, rations, and equipment arrive safe and sound

  • Drive through desert, jungle, snow, and mountain roads

  • Train on a range of vehicles from quad bikes to HGVs

  • Learn cross-country driving, convoy driving, navigating, loading, driving at night, and more

  • Gain qualifications in logistics, including a Level 2 apprenticeship in Driving Goods Vehicles



To qualify, you must be between 16 years 6 months and 35 years 6 months and pass a basic fitness test.



Benefits & Training



  • During your initial training, you'll earn £27,282.

  • You could reach Corporal within 5 years, earning £40,989.

  • 30 days annual leave every year (plus bank holidays and extra leave after operations)

  • Free medical and dental care

  • Cheaper living costs, and free gym and sports facilities

  • Usually work 8:30am to 5pm, Monday to Friday (unless away on operations or training exercises)
