Driver & Maintenance Assistant

This is an exciting opportunity to join Elysium Healthcare as a Driver & Maintenance Assistant at their Victoria Gardens location in Huyton. You will be responsible for ensuring the service's facilities are fit for purpose, driving staff and service users to local destinations, gardening, and regularly conducting audits to identify and repair any faults, ensuring a safe environment for service users, staff, and visitors. You will work alongside an established team, turning your hand to all maintenance-related tasks and liaising with contractors to support the upkeep of the service., As a Driver & Maintenance Assistant, your key responsibilities will include assisting with ensuring that the service, buildings, facilities, and equipment requirements are maintained and fit for purpose. You will utilize your good DIY skills to maintain the safety of service users, assist in regular checks and maintenance, and help with the repair and maintenance of all buildings. Additionally, you will liaise with a manager to report all faults and defects, participate in an on-call rota for emergency maintenance, and coordinate and support contractors while on site, completing all necessary paperwork and tool checks. You will also be responsible for ensuring that vehicles are kept clean internally and externally, and for monitoring and reporting when vehicle maintenance is due.
