Applicants must be able to lift, carry, handle and transport goods, be trustworthy and reliable and ensure complete confidentiality of information held or regarding patients and hospital personnel. Duties will vary depending on the type and event each day the MRU is in use. You will invovled in the safe transportation of equipment to and from the MRU. You will carry out safety, general maintenenance and condition checks and contribute to risk assessments and planning for each organised event. You will be responsible for recording the use and checks and escalating where appropriate.

The post-holder will work closely with the Research Manager / MRU Lead and you will already have experience of dealing with the public together with excellent communication skills. Applicants must be litereate and numerate and have a good level of fitness in order to be able to lift, carry, handle and transport goods in relation to the MRU and it's activity. You will be trustworthy and reliable and ensure complete confidentiality of information held or regarding patients and hospital personnel. The role requires a significant amount of driving and the primary role will be the checking, general maintenance and driving of the MRU accross Chester, Cheshire West and beyond as required. Applicants will have relevant Driving experience and a full clean driving license.

The Countess of Chester Hospital NHS Foundation Trust provides services to West Cheshire and to Welsh patients covered by Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board.
