Driver Chargehand

Are you an experienced HGV driver who enjoys working outdoors and leading a team? We have an exciting opportunity for a Driver Chargehand to join our Environmental Services team. In this role, you will:

• Drive and operate a Category C waste collection vehicle.
• Lead and motivate a small team of waste collection operatives to ensure rounds are completed safely and efficiently.
• Take responsibility for vehicle checks, defect reporting, and maintaining accurate paperwork.
• Work collaboratively to deliver a high-quality service to our residents.
  
  This is a physically demanding role that requires working in all weather conditions, but it's also rewarding for those who enjoy teamwork and making a difference in the community.
What we're looking for:
• A valid Category C (HGV) license is essential for this role.
• Driver CPC qualification (training can be provided for the right candidate).
• Experience supervising a team and working with the public.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• A proactive, reliable, and safety-conscious approach.
