Full Job Description

This apprenticeship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience within a busy HR, Learning & Development and Wellbeing environment. You will work alongside a supportive and experienced team, contributing to real organisational processes such as recruitment, onboarding, training coordination and employee support. This role provides a strong foundation for a future career in HR, Learning & Development or wider business support functions, with structured learning built into the role through the Level 2 qualification.
- Act as a first point of contact for HR queries, responding professionally to emails and enquiries
- Support recruitment administration, including references, DBS checks and interview coordination
- Assist with onboarding processes, preparing induction materials and maintaining personnel records
- Provide support with learning & development activities, including coordinating training sessions and maintaining records
- Support HR reporting and carry out mini-audits to ensure compliance
- Maintain accurate and confidential records in line with GDPR
- Provide administrative support for wellbeing initiatives and health & safety activities
- Produce documents such as letters, spreadsheets and meeting notes
- Attend meetings and contribute to process improvements
1. Genuine interest in HR, learning and development or people-focused work 2. Good written and verbal communication skills 3. Basic IT skills (email, Word, Excel, Teams) Desirable Criteria - Experience in a customer-facing or support role (any setting)
- Interest in wellbeing or staff engagement
- Familiarity with spreadsheets or data entry
