Full Job Description
I am a 47 year old gentleman living in the Upper Neath Valley area. I enjoy watching football on TV and I used to watch Swansea City home games when I was able to get out of my house without support. I would in time like to do this again, but this is not my number one priority now. What I really need, is someone to help me to access the community and use buses where needed. I am unable to use a car at the moment due to requiring wrist surgery, therefore it would be unsafe for me to attempt to get out of my wheelchair and into a car until this has healed. Due to my condition, I am unable to self-propel and I would need my PA to push me in my wheelchair.
Purpose
To take me out on the bus shopping to places such as Morfa Retail Park and the town centre etc.
Taking me to the cinema etc.
Take me to appointments such as the doctors and dentist and some others.
Generally, just to leave the house in my wheelchair and to get on busses, and sometimes to just explore my local area in my wheelchair.
Person Type
Someone who is empathetic
Someone who is reliable and trustworthy
Someone who is flexible
Hours
10 hours per week, to be completed over 2 weekdays.
