Full Job Description
As a Domestic, you will offer responsive, respectful, reliable and resourceful services to ensure that the vulnerable older people living within an extra care service have a home to be proud of. You will ensure all communal areas of the scheme are kept clean and tidy in accordance with service standards and identified safe working practices, ensuring that high standards of cleanliness are always maintained. Location: Klute Apartment Eastman Road, Harrow HA1 4BE for 10 hour a week, Weekends Only (Saturday & Sunday) 5 hours on each day.,
- Ensure all parts of communal areas are maintained clear from rubbish and tenants' belongings and regularly swept, vacuumed and washed
- Ensure all external areas and gardens are kept clean and free from litter, leaves, etc
- Regularly sweep, wash and disinfect refuse areas and ensure refuse is ready for collection
- Ensure that kitchen and laundry areas and appliances are cleaned at least daily
- Ensure that high risk touch areas are cleaned as per local infection control guidance
- Inspect all communal areas daily to ensure that lights, doors, flooring and furniture are fit for purpose, reporting any defects
- Assist in the creation of an environment that is welcoming, stimulating and safe for tenants and their visitors
- Work in accordance with Health and Safety legislation and procedures at all times, taking due precautions with regard to the correct and safe use and storage of any materials and equipment that are used and to reduce risk when undertaking hazardous operations
- Work as part of the staff team within the scheme assisting colleagues and communicating appropriately and effectively with other team members
- Delivers practical solutions, and flexible to meet others needs
