Full Job Description
- Carry out all routine cleaning duties at the prescribed times andcompliance with the specific ward/department policies and procedures at all times including any changes to methods or frequencies of work scheduling.
- Liaise with ward hostess in any regard concerning services to the patients, for instance maintenance issues, requests etc.
- Use and care of approved cleaning materials and equipment at all times in accordance with the operator instructions. Our domestic team take pride in ensuring all areas of the hospital meet high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in all patient, visitor and staff areas. For these positions it is desirable to have previous cleaning experience but not essential, we can provide full training. You will however need to have:
- Good communication skills both written and verbal
- Be able to demonstrate good customer service skill Job summary To provide a domestic cleaning service to remove dust, dirt, debris, liquid to prevent the spread of infection, preserve the life of the building, fabric and furnishings whilst providing a clinical and/or socially acceptable hospital environment which includes wards, departments and public areas. The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is the only acute hospital in the London Borough of Hillingdon and offers a wide range of services, including accident and emergency, inpatient care, day surgery, outpatient clinics, and maternity services. The Trust's services at Mount Vernon Hospital include routine day surgery, delivered at a modern treatment centre, a minor injuries unit, and outpatient clinics. The safety and well-being of our patients and staff is paramount and we are making urgent improvements to address this - particularly in infection prevention and control. We are making progress by working in partnership with local GPs, charities, community services, academic partners, our local authority, neighbouring hospitals, and the wider North West London Integrated care system, and ensuring that we listen and work in partnership with our local population. We are focused on ensuring that our hospitals provide high quality, safe, and compassionate care, while we drive forward with the building of the new Hillingdon Hospital.
