Domestic Assistant

To be responsible for maintaining cleaning standards in designated areas throughout Community Options buildings.
Cleaning staff will be required to clean designated areas to a specified standard using cleaning chemicals, equipment and machinery. They will also be responsible for looking after the cleaning cupboard, equipment and machinery, and placing orders for new stock when required.
The successful candidate should be able to work as part of a team and have the ability to use their own initiative. In addition, the successful candidate must be willing to undertake any training considered necessary for the role.
Knowledge of the Control of substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH) Regulations and basic health and safety practices, together with previous cleaning experience would be desirable for this position.
This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. A comprehensive pre-employment screening process will be undertaken which will include an Enhanced Disclosure with Child and Adult Barred List.
