Full Job Description
Cleaning and Hygiene:
- Clean resident bedrooms, communal areas, bathrooms, corridors, and offices to a high standard.
- Undertake daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedules as directed.
- Dispose of waste in line with care home policy and infection control guidelines.
- Use appropriate cleaning equipment and materials safely and effectively. Health & Safety:
- Adhere to all health and safety policies and procedures, including COSHH regulations.
- Report any faults, hazards, or maintenance issues promptly.
- Ensure proper storage and use of cleaning chemicals and equipment. Infection Control:
- Follow infection prevention protocols including hand hygiene, PPE usage, and deep cleaning as required.
- Assist in implementing enhanced cleaning during outbreaks (e.g., flu, norovirus, COVID-19). Resident Interaction:
- Be respectful and courteous to residents, ensuring privacy and dignity are upheld.
- Report any concerns regarding residents' wellbeing to a senior staff member. Other Duties:
- Attend mandatory training and staff meetings as required. An Enhanced Access NI check will be required for this position. If successful please be advised that we have a policy on the recruitment of ex-offenders which is available from our HR Team. Having a criminal record will not necessarily affect you from working with Burnview Group and will be reviewed in line with our policy.
- Right to live and work in the UK
- Experience in cleaning or domestic work
- Understanding of cleaning and hygiene standards
- Satisfactory Enhanced Access NI Check Desired criteria
- Relevant knowledge on COSHH.
- Experience in a care home or healthcare setting
- Basic hygiene or cleaning certificate
