In this key role, you will ensure the safe, timely and efficient supply of medicines across the Trust. You will oversee staffing, rotas and workflow, maintain high standards of governance, safety and stock control, and support the ongoing development and performance of the dispensary team. Working closely with pharmacy and clinical colleagues, you will help deliver a smooth, reliable and patient-centred medicines supply service.

At Sheffield Teaching Hospitals, you will join an innovative, well-established pharmacy service within one of the UK's leading NHS teaching trusts. You'll benefit from a supportive, collaborative team environment, excellent professional and leadership development opportunities, and the chance to contribute to meaningful service improvements. This is a role where your leadership will directly enhance patient care and help shape the future of our medicines supply services.

If you thrive in a dynamic setting, enjoy leading and developing people, and are passionate about delivering high-quality pharmacy services, we would love to hear from you., A confident and capable leader with strong organisational skills, clear communication and a proactive approach to day-to-day challenges. The role includes coordinating daily dispensary work to keep services running smoothly, organising staffing and managing workload priorities. You will maintain accurate stock processes and meet required standards, help develop staff skills and support a positive team culture. You will also contribute to service improvements, including digital developments and work closely with pharmacy and clinical teams to deliver a reliable, patient-focused medicines service.

You will be working for an organisation which values and respects all of its staff and the community it serves. The Trust is a leader in the NHS and research sectors and provides excellent benefits for its employees. This includes commitments to professional development but also many policies to support employees in balancing their personal and professional lives.

This role reflects the strong work ethic and supportive culture of our pharmacy team, where patients are always at the centre of everything we do. As Dispensary Manager, you'll work with respectful, dedicated colleagues who value teamwork, communication, and shared success. You'll take ownership by driving improvements, solving problems, and helping shape a safe, efficient medicines supply service. Unity is central to how we work, and you'll play a key role in supporting, developing, and motivating staff to deliver their best. Joining our team means being part of a friendly, forward-thinking department that invests in your professional growth, offers development opportunities, and provides a positive, collaborative environment where your contribution truly makes a difference.
