Full Job Description
Provide operational leadership and administrative leadership support across Ely and Wisbech Community Diagnostic Centres, ensuring high-quality, patient-centred services and supporting delivery of the national CDC programme.
Support delivery of national and local diagnostic performance targets, using data to identify risks, pressures, and improvement opportunities
Lead operational delivery across one of the region's largest Community Diagnostic Centre programmes.
Support recruitment, induction, appraisal, and development of operational staff
Contribute to service planning, pathway redesign, and new ways of working aligned to the national CDC programme
Support governance activity including incident review, complaints, information governance, and policy compliance
Act as a visible operational presence across sites, supporting consistent standards and effective communication
You will be required to travel between the 2 sites, with Ely being the main location. This is a full-time (37.5 hours) position. As part of an operational leadership team supporting a seven-day service (08:00-20:00), a flexible approach to working is required. Community Diagnostic Centres are transforming the way diagnostic services are delivered across the NHS. We're looking for an ambitious Directorate Support Manager (Band 6) to join our growing leadership team and help shape the future of diagnostic services across Ely and Wisbech Community Diagnostic Centres.
The CDCs play a vital role in improving access to diagnostics for local communities, supporting national diagnostic recovery priorities and delivering high-quality, patient-centred pathways closer to home.
The role supports one of the Trust's fastest-growing services, delivering thousands of diagnostic appointments each year across multiple clinical specialities.
