Full Job Description
An exciting opportunity to join a committed and dynamic team within the Women's & Children Division at Wirral University Teaching Hospital. This is a permanent position and as Directorate Manager in Children's and Neonatal Services you will work alongside Medical and Nursing leads in developing and managing services to deliver quality care for our patients.
We are seeking a dynamic individual who has the ability to successfully engage with a broad range of teams, disciplines and staff across the Division.
The successful applicant will be responsible for providing leadership, operational management, strategic business planning and project management to help ensure that the Division delivers and achieves its performance, quality and efficiency objectives and delivers high standards of care to our patients.
You will have experience at a service management level, experience of successfully delivering projects and will have led your teams to deliver high quality, cost effective patient care., + To lead on, and be responsible for the development of strategies and business plans for the Division by ensuring that there are robust systems for performance management and quality governance in place. To ensure that the Division's services are delivered to plan within available resources, and to assured quality standards.
+ To be responsible for co-ordinating and promoting the integration of the operational management, service planning and service delivery processes of the Division, to achieve agreed service levels. To work with the Divisional leadership team to use available resources effectively, efficiently and within agreed budgets.
+ To lead on the Divisional transformation programme, by analysing opportunities for change to support the transformational agenda, and by engaging partners, patients and other stakeholders in all aspects of the change.

DBS Information
Trust policy requires that the cost of submitting & processing a DBS application is met by the successful applicant/s. DBS costs are recovered via salary deduction following starting in post.
If the post you are applying for requires a DBS - Inline with Trust policy the cost of submitting and processing a DBS for successful applications would be met by the individual themselves. The amount would vary depending on the level required: Standard Disclosure £21.50+£6.50 or Enhanced Disclosure £49.50+£6.50 (please be aware the additional sum is an administration fee and may increase due to inflation). This will be deducted from your salary, in manageable monthly instalments for up to 3 months following commencement of employment.
