Full Job Description

Are you an experienced leader with a passion for building strategic partnerships, influencing policy and delivering projects that create lasting impact?

Do you want an opportunity to help shape the future of education, skills and economic development across North London and beyond, while securing opportunities that directly benefit students, employers, stakeholders and communities? If so, this is an exceptional opportunity to make a meaningful difference.

As Director of Partnerships, Policy and Projects, you will provide leadership for the College's external engagement, partnership development, policy influence and major project activity. You will develop and sustain high-value relationships with employers, local authorities, government agencies, including the Department for Education and the Greater London Authority, education providers and industry bodies, ensuring partnerships deliver tangible benefits for learners and support the College's long-term ambitions.

This is a dynamic role that combines strategic leadership with operational delivery. You will lead change, drive innovation and manage complex partnerships and projects across the College and its wider network of stakeholders. A key priority will be securing and delivering partnership arrangements that enhance students' learning, personal development and career progression opportunities.

Working closely with the CEO, Deputy Principals and Senior Leadership Team, you will help shape strategic priorities, identify and secure funding opportunities, and lead initiatives that strengthen the College's impact, reputation and contribution to regional growth. You will represent the College across local, sub-regional, regional and national forums, helping to position Barnet and Southgate College as a leading anchor institution for skills, workforce development and social mobility.

The College is actively engaged in a range of influential partnerships and skills initiatives, including Local London, West London Alliance, Local Skills Improvement Plan (LSIP) activity and the Construction Technical Excellence Centre (CTEC) Hub. As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will play a pivotal role in maximising the opportunities these partnerships create, ensuring the College remains at the forefront of skills development, employer engagement and economic growth.
