Director of Digital Strategy and Head of Junior Computing

We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking digital education leader to take on the combined role of Director of Digital Strategy (Whole School) and Head of Computing (Junior School).

This is a key leadership position with responsibility for shaping and delivering the School's strategic digital vision, ensuring that technology is used effectively, securely and purposefully to enhance teaching, learning and School operations. Working closely with senior leaders, teaching staff and the IT technical team, the successful candidate will define and champion the overarching strategic vision for educational technology and wider digital innovation. Whilst the core IT team report operationally to the Director of Business and Commercial Operations, this postholder sets the direction for how technology is developed across the curriculum, pedagogy and broader school life.

Alongside this whole-School strategic responsibility, the postholder will lead Computing across the Junior School from Years 1 to 8. They will provide strong academic and departmental leadership, ensuring a high-quality, engaging and ambitious Computing curriculum which develops pupils' technical and digital skills and provides a strong foundation for future study at GCSE and A Level.

The role would suit an accomplished teacher and digital leader who combines strong pedagogical understanding with a genuine passion for and understanding of technology and innovation. The successful candidate will be able to translate digital strategy into practical improvements for pupils and staff, inspire colleagues to embrace new approaches, and ensure that the School continues to develop a secure, sustainable and future-focused digital environment.
