Full Job Description
- Leading and enhancing existing client engagements and target relationships, reporting direct to a partner
- Developing market opportunities locally, nationally and internationally with an opportunity to lead the market development of new ideas
- Working closely with colleagues in other parts of the firm, and other Deloitte offices, to develop and pursue opportunities
- Assisting with developing less experienced staff with hands on advice and support
- Managing diverse teams within an inclusive team culture where people are recognised for their contribution
· Degree level qualified (or equivalent) · ACA, ATT or CTA qualified (or equivalent) - Prior R&D and Patent Box experience gained within professional services, HMRC or industry
- Excellent client facing and relationship building skills
- Strong business development skills, with a proactive nature to identify and pursue opportunities · Capability to lead project teams, with experience in delivering both to internal and external customers · A strong communicator, with good interpersonal awareness skills · The ability to work within multi-disciplinary teams as well as generating high quality client deliverables · Well-organised and able to manage multiple large and complex projects, handling conflicting demands for yourself and team-members in a timely manner

You will have the opportunity to apply your knowledge across a range of clients and industries, with responsibility for your own portfolio of clients and working with the Senior Leadership team to grow our service offering both in the local market and within our national practice. The team is also frequently interacting with HM Treasury and HM Revenue & Customs, acting on behalf of clients and responding to consultations. Consistent with its clients' operations, the work can also be global in nature and provides the chance to broaden knowledge and interact with the Deloitte global network regularly. Connect to your opportunity As a senior member of our Global Investment and Innovation Incentives team, you will help to develop and deliver our ambitious plan for market leadership. You will work across a range of our focus and priority areas and work closely with other parts of the Deloitte network to deliver on fast-paced local, national and international projects. This will include collaborating and working with our Business Tax, Tax Controversy and Tax Policy teams. You will take the lead on key stakeholder relationships within our client companies where you will need to understand their R&D IP portfolios to deliver on both compliance and advisory engagements., Innovation and tax consultancy may not seem to go together, but that's exactly what you'll find at Deloitte. Personal independence Regulation and controls are standard practice in our industry and Deloitte is no exception. These controls provide important legal protection for both you and the firm. We are subject to a number of audit regulations, one of which requires that certain colleagues abide by specific personal independence constraints (e.g., in relation to any financial interests and employment relationships). This can mean that you and your "Immediate Family Members" are not permitted to hold certain financial interests (shares, funds, bonds etc.) with audit clients of the firm, and also prohibitions on certain employment relationships (e.g., you are not permitted to hold a secondary employment role with SEC audit clients of the firm whilst being employed by the firm).
