Position OverviewWe are seeking a Director of Business Strategy & Operations (BS&O) - GCDO to serve as a strategic partner and Chief of Staff to the Head of Global Clinical Development Operations and the GCDO Leadership Team. Reporting to the Head of R&D Business Strategy & Operations, you will drive strategic alignment, operational cadence, workforce planning, and continuous improvement across our global clinical development operations.
Key Responsibilities Chief of Staff & Operational Governance: Act as a trusted advisor, leading the operational rhythm of GCDO, establishing agendas, facilitating meetings, and tracking action items.
Workforce Planning & Resource Data Stewardship: Oversee multi-year workforce planning and ensure data integrity in resource planning.
Financial Stewardship & Budget Management: Collaborate with finance teams to build and optimize the functional operating budget.
Business Due Diligence & Functional Integration: Lead clinical operations in business development evaluations and ensure seamless onboarding of acquired assets.
Goal Setting, Performance & Process Improvement: Drive annual goal-setting and implement process improvement initiatives across GCDO.
Functional Communications & Culture: Partner with the Communications team to design and execute GCDO communications and foster a cohesive organizational culture.

What You Bring Experience: Extensive experience in the biopharmaceutical or life sciences industry, with a focus on drug development and R&D operations.
Leadership: Proven ability to partner with executive leaders and manage departmental budgets and workforce planning.
Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a knack for engaging large organizations.
Analytical Acumen: Strong capability to interpret complex data and formulate actionable business strategies.
Education: A Bachelor's degree in a Life Sciences discipline is required; an advanced degree (MS, PhD, or MBA) is strongly preferred.

Why Jazz? Competitive Compensation: The base pay range for this role is $192,000.00 - $288,000.00, depending on qualifications and experience.
