Full Job Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Encouraging the recipient to engage in activities.
- Helping to improve their social skills.
- Settling and supporting the individual.
- Keeping them safe in the community.
- Helping to fulfil their potential and aspirations.
- Attending/transporting the individual to social activities and appointments.
- Encouraging social interaction and inclusion and providing emotional support., This role is caring for a lively 6 year old with Autism and ADHD. They thrive on routine and require a caregiver who offers a consistent and patient approach. They enjoy accessing the community and activities which interest them. They require assistance with communication and some personal care. Weekend Childcare/Carer:
- 6 hours per week.
- Flexible shifts (weekends & holidays).
- Central Pocklington location. About the role The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Be conscientious and committed to providing support as necessary for the child. - Be patient, caring and understanding.
- Be able to build a positive relationship with the child to both encourage and support them.
- Be flexible to meet the needs of the family.
- Have knowledge of working with or supporting a child with neurodivergence/ learning disabilities.
- A positive and inclusive attitude toward SEND needs. Desirable:
- Use of a vehicle (fuel supplement provided).
- Knowledge of basic speech and language techniques (training can be provided).
- Additional availability during school holidays.
