Full Job Description
The Digital Transformation Director is a newly created role with enterprise-wide impact. It exists to ensure our digital capability genuinely supports operational performance, integrated service delivery and better outcomes for both service users and colleagues. This is not a role about technology for its own sake; it is about using digital intelligently, responsibly and pragmatically to enable the organisation to perform better and operate more simply. This is a newly created, enterprise-level role with significant influence at Executive and Board level - someone who brings judgement, prioritisation and clarity, who understands the realities of large-scale service delivery, and who can lead transformation in a way that brings people with them. You will work closely with me, with the Chief Operating Officer, and with the wider Executive Team to help translate strategy into sustainable, scalable delivery, As Digital Transformation Director, you will be responsible for setting direction and leading delivery of Seetec's digital transformation agenda across employability, skills, justice and commercial services. Working closely with the CEO and Group Executive Board, you will:
- Translate strategic priorities into scalable, practical digital solutions
- Lead major technology-enabled change programmes
- Ensure digital investment delivers clear operational, financial and service-user value
- Embed digital capability across the organisation rather than within isolated teams
- This is a leadership role focused on strategy, prioritisation and outcomes, not hands-on technical delivery. How You'll Make an Impact (2026-2028) You will play a key role in enabling Seetec to:
- Improve contract profitability through system integration, automation and better performance insight
- Develop new labour-market services, supporting readiness for successor programmes and local commissioning
- Transition to a OneSeetec regional capability model, reducing duplication and enabling integrated services at scale
- Support sustainable growth, providing digital foundations that allow innovation without increasing complexity or risk
You will be a senior digital or transformation leader with: - Significant experience leading enterprise-wide digital or technology-enabled transformation
- Experience operating at executive level within complex, multi-site service organisations
- A strong track record of delivering measurable performance, efficiency or outcome improvements
- The ability to translate technical complexity into clear business decisions
- A collaborative, inclusive and outcomes-focused leadership style
- Experience in commissioned services, public or third-sector environments is welcome but not essential.
Seetec is a purpose-driven organisation with a strong track record of delivering employability, skills and justice services that change lives and strengthen communities. We work at scale, in complex and regulated environments, and we do so with a clear commitment to quality, inclusion and safeguarding. We are now entering a pivotal stage in our journey. The period ahead, through 2026 to 2028, is one of opportunity and challenge. We are focused on improving contract profitability, developing new labour-market services, transitioning toward a OneSeetec regional capability model, and ensuring the organisation is sustainable and resilient beyond 2028. Digital, data and technology are critical enablers of this ambition., Seetec is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people and vulnerable adults and expects all staff to share and uphold this commitment in conjunction with the requirements of the Prevent Duty and the positive promotion of modern British values.
