Digital and Technology Solutions Degree Engineering Apprenticeship

Key activities of the industry based work of this apprenticeship include:

• Contributing to new and innovative software which is used in the overall aircraft design, testing or optimization processes;
• Working on software solutions to support design & manufacturing of physical aircraft as well as in-service aircraft;
• Participate in all phases of the application development life cycle including research and design, development, testing, implementation and support;
• Interface with engineers and IT specialists to provide solutions to business needs.
  
  In order to be eligible for this apprenticeship you must have a minimum:
• 3 A-Levels as grade C/4 or above, preferably in Maths, Sciences and IT;
OR
• T Level in an IT/Digital subject at Merit or above;
OR
• BTEC L3 Extended Diploma in an IT/Digital subject, at minimum MMM grade;
OR
• Equivalent qualifications/Experience subject to validation;
AND
• Minimum of 4 GCSEs including English Language and Maths - Grade 4/C or above.
• Please note that, due to the funded nature of this programme, applicants with undergraduate degrees in computing/IT are not eligible., Enjoys solving mathematical or science problems through coding;
• Some previous experience of coding and/or Linux/cloud;
• The ability to work well in a team;
• Not afraid to get "stuck-in" and learn;
• Proactive, love to learn and be able to focus on your own self development;
• Ability to manage problems, communicating effectively to resolve them in a fast-paced environment., This job requires an awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity, as the foundation for the Company's success, reputation and sustainable growth.
  
  This is an ideal role for someone with a keen interest in learning and applying digital solutions to real engineering problems.
Alongside your degree, you'll be joining our experts at Filton, immediately being able to apply your skills to the world of Commercial Aircraft. You'll be assigned to a department with incredible career potential:
• Flight Physics;
• Fuel (incl Hydrogen) & Landing Gear Testing;
• Digital Airframe.

What you will be doing: Our Digital Degree Apprenticeship offers a full degree with no fees, plus vocational training with a regular salary. You will be studying via our training partner, Weston College (UCW), and your degree will be accredited by the University of the West of England.
