Job summary

Love creating social media content and telling stories through video? Help us share the stories that matter.

At Ashgate Hospice, there are stories all around us. Stories about the difference our care makes, the people who make it happen, and the families and communities who are part of Ashgate.

We're looking for someone to bring these stories to life across our social media and digital marketing channels. Someone with creative ideas, an eye for engaging content and a passion for creating posts that make people stop, take notice and connect with what we do.

Youll play a key role in planning and creating social media content, from developing ideas and scheduling posts to capturing and editing videos that will showcase life at Ashgate.

Youll help us share what life at Ashgate is really like, giving people a better understanding of hospice care and the difference it makes to people living with a life-limiting illness and those important to them.

Main duties of the job

Video will be a big part of your role. You'll come up with ideas, film and edit content, and find creative ways to tell Ashgate's stories across our social media channels, website and campaigns.

You might be filming a colleague talking about their work, capturing a fundraising event or helping someone share their experience of hospice care. Whatever the story, you'll know how to bring it to life in a way that feels genuine and connects with the people watching. You'll need to be comfortable talking to different people, putting them at ease and handling sensitive stories with care. You'll also know that good video isn't just about getting the right shots. Its about understanding the story you want to tell and making sure it reaches the right audience.

Alongside video, you'll look after the day-to-day running of our social media channels. That means planning and scheduling posts, creating graphics and photography, responding to comments and messages, and keeping an eye on what's working well.

Youll also help keep our website up to date, create written content and support email marketing. Working with colleagues across Ashgate, youll help turn their ideas and experiences into content that people want to read, watch and share.

About us

At Ashgate Hospice, we strive to create a happy, safe, and supportive workplace, which 87% of our workforce would recommend as an employer/place to volunteer. Recognising the importance of wellbeing and work-life balance, we offer flexible work arrangements and generous leave entitlement.

Our values are at the heart of everything we do. These include compassion, teamwork and respect. We are also committed to diversity and inclusion, welcoming applicants from all backgrounds.

By joining our team, youll also have access to training opportunities to help you grow personally and professionally. Whether youre developing in your current role or exploring new career paths, we'll support you every step of the way.
