Full Job Description

West London College is seeking an enthusiastic and innovative Digital Learning Facilitator to join our IT & Digital Innovation team. This exciting and ambitious new role sits at the heart of the College's digital transformation agenda.

You will act as the central point of contact for the College's state-of-the-art immersive learning environments, playing a key role in facilitating immersive lessons and supporting staff and students to fully realise the potential of these spaces. Working closely with the Head of Digital Innovation and Learning Technologies, Learning Resource Centre (LRC) teams, teaching staff and students, you will help embed cutting-edge digital technologies into teaching and learning practice.

This role is ideal for a recent graduate or early-career professional with experience or qualifications in immersive learning, digital media, gaming or related fields, who is passionate about educational innovation and learner engagement.

Key Responsibilities

Immersive Learning and Digital Innovation

Act as the main point of contact for immersive learning environments across the College.
Facilitate timetabled immersive lessons, actively contributing to high-quality teaching and learning experiences.
Support the integration of emerging technologies including immersive, augmented, virtual and mixed reality (AR/VR/MR), artificial intelligence and digital learning tools.
Provide technical setup and proactive troubleshooting to ensure a seamless user experience.
Maintain immersive learning spaces, ensuring high standards of presentation, functionality and usability.
Manage immersive environment software updates and hardware performance, liaising with suppliers such as ClassView where required.
Track and analyse user and technical feedback to inform continuous improvement.
Encourage innovation by advising staff on creative uses of immersive technologies to enhance learner engagement.
Keep up to date with developments in immersive and digital learning through research, networking and professional development.
Project and Collaboration
Manage delegated project responsibilities for immersive technology and AI initiatives, ensuring delivery aligns with College objectives.
Work collaboratively with Learning Facilitators, Digital and Quality teams to identify training needs and support staff development.
Assist with workshops, pilot projects and the implementation of technology-supported learning initiatives.
Build immersive learning experiences and create digital and e-learning resources using tools such as Articulate, Adobe, Canva or similar platforms.

Learning Resource Centre (LRC) Support

Work as part of the LRC team, providing cover and support when required.
Support student IT services, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues and liaising with IT colleagues.
Assist with the organisation, maintenance and use of Learning Centre equipment.
Provide front-line service at LRC service points, supporting learners to access resources, technology and digital tools.
Help create online and paper-based guides and materials to promote Learning Centre services and digital resources.

A strong interest in digital innovation, immersive learning and educational technology.
Experience or qualifications in immersive learning, gaming, digital media or related disciplines.
Confidence facilitating learning sessions and supporting educators and learners with technology.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues efficiently.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative and proactive approach.
The ability to manage multiple priorities and work across different College sites.
A willingness to learn, experiment and continuously develop your digital skillset.
