Digital. Lead

Plimsoll is looking for a Digital Lead who can develop and execute content strategies, manage channel growth, and create engaging video and digital content., Commercial Strategy & Revenue Growth
Develop and pitch digital content ideas, commercial strategies and revenue models for new and existing Plimsoll IP.
Work with the Chief Development Officer and Creative Director to build multi-platform distribution, audience growth and promotional strategies into pitches for partners, brands and commissioners.
Maximise the value of Plimsoll's back catalogue and broadcast archive across digital platforms.
Oversee digital revenue and rights exploitation alongside relevant internal and external partners, ensuring performance is tracked and reported effectively.
Use audience insights and performance data to identify opportunities and inform future content strategy.
Content & Creative
Work with the Creative Director to shape the creative direction, visual identity and tone of Plimsoll's digital output.
Develop and pitch original digital formats, spin-offs and commercial content in collaboration with Development teams.
Oversee digital content from concept through to delivery, including creative development, production, post-production, approvals, graphics and packaging.
Use YouTube and social platforms as a testing ground for new ideas and formats, using audience response to identify concepts with potential to grow.
Lead day-to-day digital activity across development, production and commercial projects.
Work closely with Plimsoll's senior leadership team to ensure digital strategy supports the company's wider creative and commercial ambitions.
Build strong working relationships with external partners, platforms, brands and distributors.

A strong understanding of digital content, online audiences and how major social and video platforms are evolving.
A genuine passion for natural history, factual entertainment and digital storytelling.
Proven experience developing and delivering digital content from initial idea through to publication.
Strong editorial instincts and an understanding of what makes content perform online, including titles, thumbnails, formats and audience retention.
Experience developing pitches, commercial proposals and audience strategies for partners, brands or commissioners.
An understanding of digital revenue models, rights and archive exploitation, including AVOD and FAST.
Confidence using audience analytics to inform creative and commercial decisions.
Experience working with senior stakeholders and external partners.
A good working knowledge of creative tools such as Adobe Creative Suite.
An interest in emerging technology, including AI tools, and how they can improve creative and production workflows.
