Full Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Infrastructure Specialist to join our Digital Services team. This is an exciting opportunity to work hands-on with the infrastructure that underpins clinical and operational systems across Herefordshire and Worcestershire. You will work across a complex enterprise environment, supporting server, storage, virtualisation, cloud technologies, Active Directory and network technologies whilst helping design and implement new solutions. You will join a small, highly productive team where you will have the opportunity to develop your technical expertise, contribute to large-scale infrastructure projects and help modernise our Digital estate. The post is full time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Hybrid working is supported with travel across Trust sites required. We are looking for someone who enjoys solving complex technical problems, takes ownership and wants to make a genuine difference through technology. Based at Kings Court 1 but will be required to work across all of Worcestershire and Herefordshire as required. Please note the Trust is unable to provide sponsorship to work for this role, to apply you must have current right to work in the UK status. Employment on a time limited visa doesnt guarantee sponsorship at point of expiry., The successful candidate will provide 3rd line technical support across our server and infrastructure environment, taking ownership of complex incidents and proactively monitoring services to maintain availability, performance and resilience. Day to day, you will investigate and resolve complex technical issues, manage infrastructure patching and vulnerability remediation, support technical changes, upgrades and major project delivery. You will research, test, implement and document resilient solutions, identify and manage technical risks and contribute to root cause investigations and cyber security improvements. You will work closely with Digital colleagues, project teams and suppliers, applying your technical expertise to deliver effective solutions within a complex, fast-paced environment and drive continuous service improvement. The role includes travel across Trust sites and participation in the out-of-hours IT support on-call rota, as required.
