Overview
Digital Imaging Specialist Acteon is a global med-tech company specialising in dental and medical devices. We employ highly trained technical and sales teams in 26 offices around the world, and have a distribution network that covers 94 additional countries. Acteon UK is based in Cambridgeshire, here we specialise in equipment and dental imaging diagnostic and x-ray devices. We are looking for a Digital Imaging Specialist to join our forward thinking, friendly and dynamic team. The successful candidate will be based at our office in St Neots, Cambridgeshire but will also travel throughout the UK.
Responsibilities
- Helpdesk Support
- Provide first-line and second-line technical support to dental practices
- Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, networking, and imaging issues remotely
- Log and manage support tickets within the helpdesk system
- Escalate complex issues where required
- Guide customers through troubleshooting procedures clearly and professionally
- Field Engineering
- Install, configure, and maintain dental imaging equipment
- Carry out on-site repairs, servicing, and preventative maintenance
- Support digital imaging systems including panoramic, CBCT, and intraoral imaging devices
- Configure imaging software and network connectivity
- Deliver customer training following installations
- General Duties
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation
- Work collaboratively with internal technical and sales teams
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and professionalism
Skills & Experience Required
Essential
- Strong IT and technical troubleshooting skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable
- Experience in dental, medical, or imaging equipment support
- Experience with Windows operating systems and networking fundamentals
- Field service engineering experience
- Understanding of practice management software and networking
- Electrical or electronic engineering background
Personal Qualities
- Friendly and professional manner
- Problem-solving mindset
- Reliable and organised
- Eager to learn and develop technical skills
- Comfortable working both remotely and on customer sites
The successful candidate will:
- Be willing to travel regularly and occasionally stay overnight
- Be able to lift heavy goods occasionally
- Have a full UK driving licence and passport (travel may be required for training courses etc)
Previous experience within the Dental, Medical or Veterinary sectors is not essential, as full training will be provided.
