Full Job Description
Digital Forensics is seeking experienced and motivated Managers to join two key teams: Digital Devices and Frontline Services. These roles offer an exciting opportunity to lead and develop high-performing teams at the forefront of digital forensic investigation. You will play a critical role in delivering efficient, high-quality services that support the investigation of serious crime across the MPS. As a manager, you will provide strong leadership, guidance, and support to your team. You will oversee operational demand, assess staffing needs, and allocate resources effectively to ensure timely and efficient delivery of casework in line with Criminal Justice (CJ) system expectations. You will:
- Lead the day-to-day management and throughput of forensic casework Monitor team performance, capability, and wellbeing Analyse management information to identify trends and drive improvements Ensure compliance with MPS values, standards, and HR policies Be accountable for team performance and delivery of departmental objectives
- Provide updates on progress of submissions to both officers and the court Manage expectations on technical capability and turnaround times Provide advice and guidance to MPS personnel on submissions and examination timelines Drive continuous improvement and support the implementation of new procedures, working closely with DF Technical Leads
Competent in Office 365 products Confident decision maker and problem-solver Risk Management Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to engage, build and maintain effective relationships with personnel and customers at all levels Ability to work to deadlines, identifying barriers to completion and escalating where required
