Full Job Description

We're looking for a Digital Communications Support Officer to join our fast-paced, creative team - a place where every day brings new opportunities and challenges to make an impact. This is more than just a content role. It's about bringing the work of the council to life in a way that connects with people, tells real stories, and makes a difference to communities across Lincolnshire.

In this role, you'll be at the heart of our digital presence. You'll capture and create engaging video and photography, shape content for social media and web, and turn ideas into compelling stories that resonate. You'll be confident using editing tools, comfortable working with different formats, and excited by experimenting with new ideas, always looking for fresh and engaging ways to connect with our audiences. You'll work across a wide range of campaigns, events and services, spotting opportunities to create timely, relevant content while helping to improve how we connect with our audiences. Alongside this, you'll support website updates, analyse performance, and help us stay ahead of digital trends.

This is a dynamic and ever-changing environment, so you'll need to be agile in your approach - able to think on your feet, respond to changing priorities, and find creative solutions quickly. At the same time, you'll be working within a local authority, so you'll bring a thoughtful and considered approach to how we communicate, balancing creativity with responsibility.

You'll be joining a fun, energetic and welcoming team who genuinely enjoy what they do. We support each other, share ideas and celebrate success, and we make time for collaborative, informal sessions during the working day to connect and learn together. From small traditions to bigger team moments, we value team spirit - but we also recognise that everyone is different, so while you're always welcome to join in, there's no expectation to take part.

What really sets this team apart is our commitment to your development. We've created a clear progression pathway and are passionate about helping you grow, build your skills, and shape your career in digital communications. Whether you're experimenting with new content formats, developing your technical skills, or gaining experience across campaigns, you'll be supported every step of the way.

If you're creative, curious, digitally savvy and ready to turn ideas into impactful content in a role where you can learn, grow and make a difference - we'd love to hear from you.

This role requires regular travel across Lincolnshire. As such, candidates must be able to travel independently and reliably between locations. A valid full UK driving licence is required for this position., In accordance with Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016 (Fluency Duty), the ability to converse at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.
