Diabetes Healthcare Assistant - Specialist Diabetes Service
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Diabetes Healthcare Assistant to join our Specialist Diabetes Team based in Devizes.
Working under the supervision of Diabetes Specialist Nurses and alongside Specialist Dietitians, you will support patients with diabetes across community, hospital and domiciliary settings. Responsibilities include supporting diabetes clinics, assisting patients with diabetes technology, helping ensure completion of key diabetes care processes, and delivering structured diabetes education programmes.
Full training and accreditation support for delivering Xpert courses will be provided. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with strong communication skills, confidence using IT and technology, and the ability to work independently whilst travelling across the locality as required.
This is a varied and rewarding role that requires a flexible approach to
working. The successful candidate will support patients through a combination of clinic-based appointments, home visits and community-based activities across North West Wiltshire, helping patients to develop the skills and confidence needed to manage their diabetes effectively.
