An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our team to offer a high quality clinical psychology service within the Children's Neurodevelopmental Assess. Service. The successful applicant would be working within our welcoming and skilled Multi-disciplinary Neurodevelopmental Assessment team in the stunning county of Cornwall; contributing to the delivery of a successful and innovative ND assessment and advice service for children, young people and their families in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly., Clinical lead responsibility for assessment and formulation work for children and young people with complex Neurodevelopmental needs who may be seeking a diagnosis of Autism or ADHD.

o Specific responsibility for supporting the service and MDT colleagues to provide reliable, evidence-based, diagnostic assessments, including differential assessment of other ND conditions such as Fetal Alcohol spectrum, Intellectual disability, Developmental trauma, Developmental coordination disorder and Developmental language disorder. This role will therefore include specialist assessment such as informal, dynamic and formal cognitive assessment.o Providing specialist assessment and formulation support to the Neurodevelopmental assessment team as well as consultation to the partners and agencies we work with across the county.o A focus of the role is working with complex developmental, psychological difficulties and distress and delivering specialist individual psychological assessment and formulations.o The post holder will provide and support regular supervision and consultation with colleagues in the team, working as a team and also autonomously to ensure psychology support is
delivered within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the service's policies and procedures.Countywide role (Preference for clinical base can be considered). The role is funded 4 days per week, but has potential to increase in the future.

You will work within the Multi-disciplinary Neurodevelopmental assessment team, and alongside the team's current lead Clinical Psychologist to provide clinical assessment and formulation for children, young people with complex Neurodevelopmental needs including Autism and ADHD, across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.We would consider applicants who have appropriate registration as a practitioner psychologist, with experience in working with children and young people with neurodevelopmental conditions. There is opportunity for this to be a band 7-8 development post, with a clear competency framework to support this development over 18months to 3 years. We would also consider negotiation over the number of working hours per week for the successful applicant. We will consider applicants who are current trainees, due to qualify this year.
