Full Job Description
- The day-to-day running of one or more priority projects.
- Prepare and keep updated: + Gannt-chart schedule setting out all activities and critical path + Cost tracker + Risk register
- Have delegated authority to make decisions in relation to a project, issue instructions and authorise expenditure within the scope of the approved Project Brief, Budget and Business Plan.
- Lead professional consultants to ensure delivery of the project in accordance with Council approved Brief, Budget and Business Plan.
- Working closely with the Development Project Surveyor to ensure the preparation of Cash Flow Forecasts and budget monitoring are in place, and to support the contract administration and valuation.
- Lead a monthly Project Review Meeting, facilitating details, progress-focused discussion of every aspect of a project.
- Progressing projects, identifying issues and ensuring solutions are in place for individual projects.
The ability to lead projects within the development, construction and property sectors and co-ordinate a multi-disciplinary team. - Knowledge of development and contracting within a similar Project Management role, specifically on development /construction projects, of a nature and scale relevant to those on the Councils Development Programme.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to disseminate complex information.

The team will help forge a way forward for the district to deliver projects against its Council Plan. The team has the opportunity to work with colleagues and Members across the Council, influencing and shaping the Capital Programme, drawing on additional interim and professional support where required.
