Derby County are seeking to recruit a Development Centre & Pre Academy Goalkeeper Coach Part-Time to join Academy Coaching at Moor Farm Training Centre. The successful candidate will be responsible for responsible for the continued monitoring and development of the Pre-Academy Goalkeepers, working with Pre-Academy coaching staff and the goalkeeping department to ensure the best possible goalkeepers enter the Academy at the Foundation Level. Also, they will be responsible for the Goalkeeping Development Centres, monitoring current goalkeepers and assessing the standard compared to current DCFC goalkeepers. Key Role Responsibilities:
- To be responsible for coaching Pre Academy goalkeepers in consultation with the Lead Goalkeeping Coach.
- To be responsible for coaching the DCFC Goalkeeping Development Centre (U9 - U16).
- To provide a weekly work diary, allowing line managers to schedule work appropriately.
- To manage the kit, equipment and changing rooms at all times.
- To commit to both club and individual (CCF) CPD programmes. Provide and store evidence of this process.
- Maintain a multi-disciplinary approach when interacting with players and all departments.
- To promote open lines of communication with all members of the multi-disciplinary team and Administration staff.
- Liaise with parents formally (Parent Evenings) and informally, when appropriate, to inform them of the player's development.
- To be a positive role model to Academy Players by maintaining high standards of coaching, positive attitude and appropriate language.
- To contribute to the scouting and talent identification process where appropriate.
- To demonstrate consistently high standards of behaviour and to operate within the parameters of the Laws of the Game, the Rules of the Football Association or the Rules of the Football League and FA Premier League. General
- To be responsible for the health, safety and welfare of customers and colleagues, complying with health and safety guidance and policy.
- Continuously work to maintain, embed and improve the club's safeguarding provision, ensuring the highest standards for safeguarding children and adults at risk.
- To uphold and promote organisational policies and procedures, promoting those specifically applicable to this area of work and including equality, diversity and inclusion.
- To present and promote an appropriate public image representing the organisation.
- To undertake any other duties as may reasonably be required commensurate with the post.
Experience in football coaching, delivering and coordinating coaching programmes for young people - Ability to manage a group of young goalkeepers
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively, positively and enthusiastically with people at all levels
- Knowledge of relevant governing body programmes, policies and procedures
- Knowledge of the football recruitment process
- Good knowledge of the age-appropriate techniques and skill practices for player development
- Excellent planning and organisational skills
- Committed to high standards
- Flexible approach and prepared to work unsociable hours
- Able to take a considered and sensible approach to problem-solving Qualifications: Essential
- Experience of coaching Goalkeepers (Any age/ level)
- Level 2 Emergency First Aid in Football
- Safeguarding Children Certificate Desirable
- UEFA B Coaching Certificate
- UEFA B Goalkeeping Coaching Certificate

This role is a seasonal, casual, part-time role with an initial fixed term until May 2027, based at the Derby County Training Centre, with some travel required.
