Full Job Description
- Prepare accurate and timely management accounts for Orwell Homes Limited.
- Support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities.
- Manage housing development accounting, including monthly Work in Progress (WIP) and Assets Under Construction (AUC) schedules.
- Maintain housing stock balances, ensuring additions, disposals, component accounting and staircasing transactions are accurately recorded.
- Provide financial support and guidance to the Development team, helping them understand and manage budgets effectively.
- Prepare VAT and CIS returns and undertake balance sheet reconciliations.
- Support systems improvement projects, ensuring finance requirements are considered and new solutions deliver business value.
- Manage corporate credit cards, Volopa cards and petty cash processes, including associated journals and reconciliations.

You'll play a key role in providing accurate financial information that supports decision-making, alongside managing housing development accounting, financial reporting and compliance activities., - Has experience working within a finance environment.
- Possesses strong bookkeeping and accounting knowledge.
- Is confident using Excel and financial systems.
- Produces accurate work with exceptional attention to detail.
- Can build positive working relationships with both finance and non-finance colleagues.
- Takes ownership, works collaboratively and looks for opportunities to improve processes and services. Person Specification Qualifications
- GCSE Maths and English or equivalent (grades A-C / 9-4) - essential
- Working towards or willingness to work towards accounting qualification is desirable unless an equivalent qualification has been obtained or qualified by experience - essential
